Just back from a whistle stop tour of Renaults EV range including a look at this, the new Twizy ZE Concept. Reminds me of somewhere inbetween a BMW C1 Moped and the good old crazy Tango EV. But a great little urban runabout for that busy executive that hates getting wet. Here’s a chat with Thierry Koskas, Renaults head of Electric vehicle development about it. Renault are also onto the whole social networking thing with this sustainable mobility site, which is worth a look.

I took this car for a test drive today and really loved it, My concerns are:
1. no windows and therefore vandals could damage it.
2. storing it outside overnight open (again windows would solve this)
3. fear of running out of battery power as there is no quick answer to recharging the car, 3.5 hours for a full charge.
4. battery is hired
5. the wife thinks I’m mad paying £7k for it
The positives:
1. i think it looks great!
2. it can keep up with the traffic, even the busy A40!
3. no road tax
4. The wind is hardly noticeable when driving it without windows.
5. acceleration is also good with a top speed of 50 mph
6. cheep to run.
to sum it up, I want to buy it but the wife said no!
A nice comprehensive list. Range anxiety is always an issue, but even in my lowly g wiz it doesn’t really seem to be an issue. I’ve just posted a video of drive in the car in the rain. Which was an adventure..
Social medias are quite useful should you can utilize
it. If not it really is nothing a lot more than a junk car which neither
you’ll be able to drive nor it is possible to park within your garage.
