Nissan have announced that they are partnering with Gateshead College in a new “zero emission centre of excellence”.
Plan is to manufacture Nissan’s quick charger technology, which allows ChadeMo compliant electric vehicles to charge to 80% in just 30 minutes. They’ll also investigate “second life” options for the lithium ion batteries used in their electric vehicles and solutions to store the energy produced from renewable sources. Great to see Nissan’s investing in The North East in more ways than just jobs!
